Here's a recipe for Tiramisu the best Italian food

Tiramisu, recipe, mascarpone cheese, ladyfingers, coffee, cocoa powder, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, espresso, layer, chill

Ingredients:

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/4 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 3/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 1 1/2 cups strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until well combined and the mixture becomes pale yellow.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the milk until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and gradually pour the milk into the egg yolk mixture, whisking constantly.
  3. Transfer the mixture back to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  4. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese until creamy and smooth. Add the cooled egg mixture and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  5. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until evenly incorporated.
  6. Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee or espresso for a few seconds, making sure not to oversaturate them. Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer in the bottom of a rectangular dish or individual serving glasses.
  7. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, smoothing it out with a spatula. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  8. Cover the dish or glasses with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together.
  9. Just before serving, dust the top of the Tiramisu with cocoa powder using a fine-mesh sieve.
  10. Serve chilled and enjoy!
